About Us

EST 1986

In 1986, the Cookie Mill opened and offered homemade cookies, muffins and was the first business to offer espresso in Stanwood with seating for 9 guests.

Julie Sande opened Cookie Mill because she wanted to create a space where friends could gather, a commuter could grab a homemade treat and coffee on the go, and everyone always felt welcome. She soon would see there was also a need for good fresh food and added breakfast and lunch to the menu.

More About Us

Cookie Mill grew over the years and offered seating for 40. In 2007, Julie thought she would hang up her apron after 22 years. She and Marybeth Sande opened Poppyseeds a vintage store across the street. This was a new adventure and fun shop for 7 years. Then the doors literally closed and reopened in a new but familiar direction. The opportunity to reopen Cookie Mill in the original location as partners presented itself and we couldn't say no!! The Stanwood/Camano Community has welcomed Cookie Mill back with open arms!! In December 2014, the Cookie Mill was back.

We now offer breakfast sandwiches, oatmeal, deli sandwiches, soups, salads, desserts and of course COOKIES!  We make all of our food fresh when you order.  Our meat and produce is sliced and prepared daily.  The cookie doughs are made in small batches with real ingredients!  No preservatives!  We take great pride in providing good healthy food.
